Fans think that the new James Bond theme song ‘No Time To Die’ performed by Billie Eilish may hint at the death of James Bond. Will Lashana Lynch take over as the new 007?

Rumours started surfacing that No Time To Die would the final 007 movie to feature James Bond. Especially now since the secret agent with a license to kill has been attacked by the mainstream media for being too problematic and sexist.

Rumours have it that Sony is looking to ‘future proof’ the 007 franchise and are beginning to phase out James Bond. This may be true now that we know No Time To Die is Daniel Craig’s last 007 movie and that they are already introducing a new agent palyed by Lashana Lynch.

Perhaps another sign that Sony is taking 007 in a brand new direction and targeting an entirely different audience is their choice to get Billie Eilish, mega teen pop idol, to perform the theme song.

The self titled theme song is something else and a lot of fans are falling in love with it. It hits all the right notes for a James Bond theme songs, however, it is very sombre, dark, and hints at the death of a major character.

I should have known
I’d leave alone
Just goes to show
That the blood you bleed is just the blood you owe
We were a pair
But I saw you there
Too much to bear

The new track is riddled with themes about betrayal and death. “Oh my God, this is so sad. Sounds like the death of James Bond,” one person wrote on YouTube.

I’ve fallen for a lie
You were never on my side
Fool me once, fool me twice
Are you death or paradise?
Now you’ll never see me cry
There’s just no time to die

The lyrics to Billie Eilish’s theme to James Bond No Time To Die have people speculating that it will actually be Nomi, the new 007 played by Lashana Lynch, that will kill James Bond.

James Bond dies in No Time To Die?

Lashana Lynch plays strong, outspoken gay, secret agent who is supposed to tag along with James Bond on what is supposed to be his final assignment. People think that at the end of his final assignment, Nomi is ordered to kill James Bond as he’s privy to too much sensitive information after having severed as a secret agent for so long.

Lashana Lynch replaces Daniel Craig is 007

Billie Eilish James Bond theme song may hint at his death and new 007: Lashana Lynch

After all the talk about ‘toxic masculinity’ and the popularity of the #MeToo movement it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if James Bond dies and they replaced him with a black, queer, female. The Guardian wrote a hit piece on the character saying ‘times up for James Bond‘ and Time magazine demanded that Lashana Lynch replace Bond in the next movie.

Do you think James Bond is too sexist, misogynist, toxic and ultimately problematic. Should he be replaced with a gay woman of colour? Let us know in the comments below.
