Robert Pattinson appears as young Bruce Wayne in The Batman leaked set photos. Bruce Wayne is sporting padded combat pants, military style jacket, motorcycle helmet and a bandana to cover his face. Could The Batman movie be based of Frank Miller’s Batman: Year One?
Batman: Year One is about the beginning of Bruce Wayne’s career as Batman and James Gordon’s with the Gotham City Police Department.
A 25-year-old Bruce Wayne returns home from training in martial arts, manhunting, and science for nearly twelve years. He hasn’t fully realised his identity and therefor uses ordinary weapons and vehicles to fight crime while donning a makeshift costume to hide his identity.
Batman: Year One was supposed to be the reboot the franchise needed after the critical failure of Batman & Robin. Several attempts were made to reboot the Batman film franchise with an adaptation of “Year One”. Joss Whedon and Joel Schumacher both pitched their own takes. In 2000, Warner Bros. hired Darren Aronofsky to write and direct Batman: Year One, but nothing came from it.
These photos posted on Twitter by Wade Gravett where he “100% confirmed” that the photos were of Robert Pattinson.
Is The Batman the long awaited adaption of Frank Miller’s classic comic? Is he carrying his bat-gear in the backpack he carries on his bad? Is this going to be the grittiest Batman movie to date?
