Joey Sasso is a bit of a fan fave on Netflix’s The Circle, but his resemblance to a young Robert De Niro is uncanny… are they related?
The Italian mummy’s boy may have come across as a bit of a vain douche in the first episode of The Circle his dudebro attitude and excessive manscaping, but as social media simulation reality TV show progressed he turned out to be a whole lot more than just a pretty face.
Did you know?
- People want to cancel Vince Vaughn after this video surfaced.
- Brie Larson considered ‘too white and straight’ for Captain Marvel role.
Joey Sasso went from being the macho airhead to one of the most honest and sincere participants on The Circle. Maybe it is because his mother raised him to be a good boy, after all he’s admitted to being a big mummy’s boy, and there’s nothing wrong with that.
The fact that he also kind of looks a young Robert De Niro surely helps. Don’t see the resemblance, just look at this picture.
Sure, Joey is a bit more buff but his eyes and facial expressions truly look like a young Robert De Niro. Could Joey Sasso and Robert De Niro be related?
We’re not the only ones who see the striking resemblance, Maria Sherman at Jezebel sees it too.
Maria writes, “Sasso is a contestant on The Circle who believes he bares a striking resemblance to a young Robert De Niro. He is Italian-American, works as a bartender in his hometown of Rochester.”
The poor girl admitted to be falling for this dudebro as well, “I’ve never been attracted to a bro before (before The Circle, that was a point of pride) but now I am confident that I would die for Joey. I love him. It sucks.”
We tried to do a bit of digging to see if Joey is related to De Niro but we couldn’t find a shred of evidence. Maybe it is just a classic Italian look. Maybe there are like a bunch of Robert De Niro lookalikes in Italy. Who knows. He does have some celebrity connections, so there is a chance. He shared a picture of himself with Adelle and Lady Gaga.
What do you guys think? Doesn’t he look exactly like a young King of Comedy? Let us know in the comments below.
