Oprah Winfrey responded to a conspiracy theory that alleges she was raided and arrested for human trafficking after being outed by convicted rapist Harvey Weinstien.

The godmother of talk show television found that her name was trending on Twitter early this morning after a conspiracy theory suggesting that she was involved in human trafficking went viral.

The conspiracy, seemingly too crazy to be true, suggests that Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hanks, and other Hollywood elites are involved in a global human trafficking scandal.

This morning Oprah revealed that her public relations team woke her up to inform her that her name was trending on Twitter for a human trafficking conspiracy that had gone viral.

The conspiracy alleges that Harvey Weinstein entered a plea deal with the U.S. government for a reduced sentence by revealing the names of other Hollywood abusers.

The same conspiracy theory put forth the allegation that Oprah Winfrey was raided and arrested in early hours of the morning, and that’s why her name was trending on Twitter. The 66-year-old television talk show host was forced to respond.

“Just got a phone call that my name is trending. And being trolled for some awful FAKE thing. It’s NOT TRUE. Haven’t been raided, or arrested. Just sanitizing and self distancing with the rest of the world. Stay safe everybody,” she Tweeted.

Many are blaming her for implicating herself in this seemingly far fetched conspiracy because of her endorsement and involvement with some shady figures.

Where did Oprah Winfrey conspiracy originate?

Oprah Winfrey has often spoken highly of very controversial people including Harvey Weinstein and Jeffrey Epstein.

Winfrey kisses Weinstein

This is why Oprah trends on Twitter for wild human trafficking conspiracy theory.

Documents even revealed that Oprah had previously been a passenger on Epstein’s ‘Lolita Express’ private jet and visited his private island dubbed ‘the island of sin’.

Her all-female South African based orphanage, Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy, was also investigated for human trafficking and child sexual abuse back in 2007.

Then again, in 2011, the school was rocked with a fresh scandal that involved the discovery of the body of a dead newborn baby.

Oprah Weinstein meme

Oprah Winfrey has been accused of trafficking girls to Harvey Epstein.

So, although the rumour of Oprah Winfrey being raided and arrested for human trafficking or most likely untrue, you can see why people might actually believe it, and why her name started trending on Twitter.

Perhaps Oprah should do more than just self quarantine herself from COVID–19. She really ought to ‘socially distance’ herself from actual Hollywood predators like Harvey Weinstein in the future.
