An old photo of the late and great actor, Alan Rickman, shows him in high-school and it looks like it it was taken at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Alan Sidney Patrick Rickman was an English actor and director best known for his role as Severus Snape in the Hotter Potter movies. His first major television role was in 1982, but his biggest break through was as the Vicomte de Valmont in the RSC stage production of Les Liaisons Dangereuses in 1985 for which he earned a Tony Award nomination.

Rickman’s first cinematic role, and what ultimately made him a fan favourite, was as the German terrorist leader Hans Gruber in cult-classic Die Hard (1988). Rickman gained further notice for his film performances as Severus Snape in the Harry Potter series. Since then the actor has played many character’s including The Metatron in Kevin Smith’s Dogma. In the film Alan Rickman acts as the Voice of God in situations where people hear God speak to them, as humanity is psychologically and physically incapable of hearing God’s actual voice without their heads exploding.

Rickman’s voice was powerful and unforgettable. It has often been described as The Mighty Voice and even scientists agree, his voice is perfect.

But it really was his role as Severus Snape in Harry Potter that won over the heart of the world. And, according to an old high school photo, of the Alan Rickman, it looks like he was destined for this role.

The photo of young Rickman taken at Chelsea College of Art and Design circa 1965 shows him in class with his friend discussing an art piece with his teacher. But what is so amazing about this picture is that it truly looks like the teenage Alan Rickman is in Slytherin in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry .
