Seth Rogen doesn’t want to work with white people as much any more

Canadian stoner, actor and comedian Seth Rogen revealed that he plans on working less with white people in his upcoming movies including Turtles.

Seth Rogen used to be known for his distinct laugh and rugged and unkempt looks, but he now wants you to take him more seriously. Rogen is a very serious political person.

NEWS: Zoe Saldana tearfully apologises for blackface in Nina.

Earlier this year the 38-year-old lashed out at people who used the #AllLivesMatter and #BlueLivesMatter hashtags during Juneteenth.

Junteenth is a relatively new liberal holiday that celebrates the emancipation of black slaves (not to be confused with Black History Month).

It is also known as Freedom Day, Jubilee Day, Liberation Day, and Emancipation Day – is a holiday celebrating the emancipation of those who had been enslaved in the United States.

During said Holiday, one of Rogen’s Instagram followers commented on his blackout post with the, strangely controversial, hashtag, “#alllivesmatter. People making this only about blacks. When it’s about all races of colour. Why do all these brutality videos only show the end? They don’t show wtf these people where [sic] doing to get in trouble in the first place.”

Rogen responded by telling him to “f*** off” and said that his movies aren’t made for white people and they don’t deserve to watch them.

Rogen has since reaffirmed his ‘anti-white folk’ stance in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly writer Leah Greenblatt.

Seth Rogen looks like a hipster

Progressive actor, Seth Rogen, (working on animated Turtles movie) takes politics seriously and wants to be less funny and work less with white people.

When Greenblatt asked Rogen about his thoughts on the current American sociopolitical climate after “witnessing the social and political upheaval of the last few months,” he responded:

“For a long time I think I was alleviating myself from some of the responsibility that one who is making a living off the American system should be feeling, you know? Like ‘I’m Canadian! I just come here to work and make comedies!’”

“Now it’s been too long, I’m an adult, I’m fully a part of American culture and a contributor to it. I can’t pretend that this is not my culture as well, and that this is not my problem as well. I am an American citizen and this is America and I make money in America. So I no longer feel that way,” he added.

The EW reporter then asked him how he intends to fight racism, “What do you feel like your role in that can be?”

Rogen explained that he’s actively trying to work less with white people in the film industry and that his plans for the future involve drastically reducing the amount of white people he casts in his own films.

Perhaps the progressive Canadian actor should start by fighting his own internalised racism before pointing his fingers.

Keith L. William Good Boys stand-in forced to wear blackface by the Seth Rogen production company.

In 2018 Seth Rogen sparked controversy for forcing a stand-in for a child actor in the movie Good Boys to wear blackface.

TMZ reported that filmmakers behind an upcoming comedy used makeup to darken the face of a child actor’s stand-in — a la “blackface” — but the film’s production company says it’s common practice.

Seth Rogen is currently working on an animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movie with his production company Point Grey Pictures. Each turtle is rumoured to be voiced by black teenage actor and the film itself will focus on the lives of black teenagers.
