The popular free speech social network app Parler has been permanently banned from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Although Google have made no official statement regarding the ban, a spokesperson for Apple states that the reason was because Parler failed to remove content that promotes violence.

An email leaked to BuzzFeed News allegedly reads: “We have received numerous complaints regarding objectionable content in your Parler service, accusations that the Parler app was used to plan, coordinate, and facilitate the illegal activities in Washington D.C. on January 6, 2021 that led (among other things) to loss of life, numerous injuries, and the destruction of property,” Apple wrote to Parler. “The app also appears to continue to be used to plan and facilitate yet further illegal and dangerous activities.”

Google followed suit and banned the free speech social network app only hours later most likely for the same reason.

Parler and Trump blamed.

Millions of users are baffled as to why Parler was held responsible for the actions the people in Washington DC when Facebook and Twitter have never been held accountable for the plethora of illegal content and calls to violence posted on their platform.

Terrorist organisations such as ANTIFA operate without restrictions on Twitter and Facebook. They’ve organised numerous riots which have resulted in the destruction of private property and even the death of US police officers.

Twitter also has major problem with child erotica. There are tens of thousands of accounts still active on Twitter that post sickening and highly illegal images and videos of children being exploited. Despite being shared on Twitter on hosted on their servers, the company has never been held accountable for the content that their users post.

Twitter is set to also permanently ban Donald Trump from their platform, following in the footsteps of Facebook after they blamed him for the siege on the capitol building in Washington DC. Trump may never have access to Facebook or Instagram in his life again.
